About Myself (JC)
Connecting architecture with delivery to build platforms that work in the real world.
I am a hybrid Technical Delivery Manager and Solution Architect with over 20 years of experience helping organisations turn complex technology programmes into platforms that actually work in the real world.
My career has taken me across Europe, the US, India, and APAC, and a consistent theme has been connecting good architecture with strong delivery. I care about making sure that well-designed systems don’t just look good on paper, but are implemented properly, adopted by teams, and operated reliably day-to-day.
A big part of my background is in global HR and payroll platforms. I’ve led large HCM and payroll transformations across Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, and ADP, covering everything from core system implementations to complex integrations, testing programmes, and payment and payroll control platforms. That work has given me a deep appreciation for how critical these systems are to organisations — and how important it is to get them right.
Alongside enterprise SaaS delivery, I have spent many years leading cloud and application modernisation programmes. I have helped organisations migrate and redesign business-critical platforms on Azure and AWS, working with container platforms, microservices, and event-driven architectures to build systems that are more scalable, resilient, and easier to operate.
I’ve led large, distributed engineering and delivery teams, often working across time zones and cultures. I enjoy building teams that work well together, putting the right delivery structures in place, and creating an environment where people can focus on solving the right problems instead of fighting process or technical debt.
Technically, I stay close enough to the detail to understand how systems are really built — from APIs and integrations to CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native platforms — while keeping my main focus on outcomes, governance, and making sure delivery stays predictable.
At the end of the day, what I enjoy most is taking complex, messy problems and turning them into platforms and solutions that are simpler, more reliable, and genuinely useful for the people who depend on them.
